Jalebi Recipe (Jilapi / Jilawii) जलेबी

Jalebi, or Jilapi, or Jilawii is a sweet popular in countries of the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, North Africa and East Africa. It is made by deep-frying a wheat flour (maida flour) batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup. They are particularly popular in the subcontinent during Ramadan and Diwali.



Please find the ingredients as below:

JALEBI
-Wheat flour (100 gram)
-All purpose flour (100 gram)
-Corn flour (1 tbsp)
-Salt (1/2 tbsp)
-Yoghurt (3 tbsp)
-Saffron (a pinch of)
-Curry powder (1/4 tbsp)
-Dry yeast (1/2 tbsp)
-Water (200 ml)
-Vegetable oil

SYRUP
-Sugar (5 tbsp)
-Water (150-200 ml)
-Saffron (a pinch of)
